The COTS standard

Understanding with nuance.
Practice with responsibility.

The experience stays central.

Hidden cost, changing capacity and apparently contradictory needs matter. Explore everyday experience without imposing one universal AuDHD profile.

Know what supports the claim.

Distinguish research, professional guidance, emerging evidence and lived experience. COTS frameworks are identified as practice tools, with their limits made clear.

Know when to pause.

Ethics, safeguarding, referral and scope are integral. So are your own capacity, emotional boundaries and the ability to use reflection and feedback.

Meet Agnes

Knowledge matters. So does what it costs to get through an ordinary day.

The Academy brings the COTS approach into practitioner learning: honest about lived experience, careful with evidence and attentive to the individual sitting in front of you.

The initial coaching pathway focuses on adults aged 18+. It does not train learners to diagnose, provide psychotherapy or deliver regulated clinical services.

Before you decide

Clear answers.
Clear expectations.

Who is the pathway designed for?

It may suit new coaches, existing coaches developing an AuDHD specialism, neurodivergent professionals and helping professionals seeking coaching skills within their role boundaries. No prior coaching qualification is required for the full pathway. You do not need to be neurodivergent to enrol. Final entry and access arrangements will be published before enrolment opens.

Can I complete Foundations without live sessions?

Yes. Foundations is designed for independent, self-paced online learning with a final knowledge-and-application assessment. Live attendance and observed coaching belong to the optional Practitioner Practical.

Does Foundations qualify me as a COTS Practitioner?

No. The Foundations certificate records assessed theoretical knowledge. COTS Practitioner status requires Foundations completion plus successful practical competence assessment.

Is the programme externally accredited?

The awards are COTS training certificates. No external accreditation is currently claimed. They must not be described as Ofqual-regulated, clinically accredited, ICF-credentialed or EMCC-accredited. Any future recognition will be stated only after written approval.

How long will it take?

Foundations is self-paced. Learning hours will be published after pilot timing. The planned practical cohort covers preparation, workshop, peer practice, clinic, final evidence and feedback. Confirmed dates and deadlines will be available before booking.

What will the pathway cost?

The provisional launch model is £395 for Foundations and £595 for the optional Practitioner Practical — £990 if you complete both. Proposed graduate membership is £29 per month or £290 per year. These are planning prices; final fees and access terms will be confirmed before enrolment opens.

Do I need membership to keep my certificate?

No. Membership is separate from your earned award. Directory listing and membership support depend on active membership and the published requirements, including appropriate insurance and agreement to the practitioner standards.
